Blue

Has a colour ever made you feel at home? Has it ever calmed you in utter chaos? Blue is ambiguous. It is soothing and bracing, contrary to the feeling of gloominess it’s associated with.

I used to dwell forever in that gloominess, ambience was familiar and somehow I wished to stay there. But just as ambiguous as blue is, I tried looking at the flip-side.

Happiness is never there, you have to make it for yourself. You decide what you smile at, and the efforts you take to turn the frown upside down. It’s not true that happiness always exists, yet you cannot find it is also not true. Looking at the smallest positive in a pool of negative triggers a spirit that always looks out for smiles.

Be blue. Be ambiguous. Enjoy both your sides. Learn from both.

And you’ll realise, it’s not wrong to feel blue.
